The price increase reflects rising costs related to Cabot Microelectronics’ supply chain, quality systems, and technological capabilities necessary to provide ongoing support and improvement of the Company’s legacy products. In addition, in order to meet the evolving product quality and performance requirements of its customers, Cabot Microelectronics continues to absorb increasing costs to source the highest quality raw materials for its legacy products.
To best serve its customers, the Company continues to focus on advanced research and development efforts to produce many innovative and higher performance/lower cost products including slurry and pad consumable sets, which are available as valuable replacements for the legacy products.
